SOUND IN. NOTES OUT.
MIDI Studio.
Turn a recording into notes you can make your own.
01 Your source
ONE FILE AT A TIMEUp to 5 minutes per conversion. Choose a section of a recording up to 15 minutes.
One voice or instrument playing one note at a time. No chords or backing tracks. Up to 60 seconds, fixed MIDI velocity 80. Repeated notes with lingering sound may merge. Loads a local model and about 15 MB of runtime on first use.
Advanced note recovery
On may recover missed notes but add false notes. Off can reduce extra notes but miss quiet notes or chords. Compare both with the original recording; neither is always more accurate.
No account. No upload. Just your music.
02 Your MIDI
WAITING FOR AUDIO
Detected or imported notes will appear here.
Listen, take a look, then take
them with you.
Click a note or choose one below. Drag to move; use the fields for precise edits.
Speed scales the current note timing: 200% is twice as fast. Pitch stays unchanged. Original audio is not time-stretched; Undo restores alignment.
Optional timing grid
Choose the tempo yourself; it is not detected. Quantization moves note starts and ends. Undo is available.
One merged MIDI track, note events and channels. Tempo changes are baked into seconds. Controllers, programs and pitch bends are not exported. WAV is a simple synth, not the original instrument.

Clear, single-instrument recordings work best.
Complex mixes will need a little
editing.
Edit MIDI notes online with an interactive piano roll
Fix a wrong note, adjust timing or shorten a melody in your browser. Open a MIDI file, edit notes in the piano roll, listen to a synthesized preview and download the result. Your file stays on your device.
How to use this tool
- Choose a standard MIDI format 0 or 1 file, or try the example before opening your own file.
- Select a note to change its pitch, start time, duration or velocity. You can also drag notes in the piano roll and drag their right edge to resize them.
- Listen to the synthesized preview, undo changes if needed, then download a new MIDI file. Check the export in your music software before replacing the original.
A practical example
For example, fix a C4 that should be D4: select the note, change MIDI pitch 60 to 62, apply the change and listen again. Download the edited melody when it sounds right. This editor changes existing MIDI notes; use Audio to MIDI if you have an MP3 or WAV recording instead.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit MIDI files without installing software?
Yes. The editor runs entirely in your web browser with a full piano roll, synthesized playback preview, and note inspector. No plugins or downloads are needed.
Can I drag and resize notes directly on the piano roll?
Yes. Click and drag any note to reposition it in time and pitch with real-time visual feedback. Drag the right edge of a note to adjust its duration.
Will the export preserve every track, sound and MIDI event?
No. Tracks are merged into one timeline and export creates a new Type 0 MIDI file from the edited notes, retaining their channels. Original track structure, tempo-map events, instrument program changes, sustain-pedal/controller events and other metadata are not preserved. The synthesized preview may sound different from your DAW. Keep your original file.
Can I undo edits and use keyboard shortcuts?
Yes. Press Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z) to undo and Ctrl+Shift+Z to redo (up to 50 levels). When the piano roll is focused, arrow keys nudge pitch and timing, and Delete/Backspace removes selected notes.
