How to use this tool
- Choose one unencrypted PDF up to 20 MiB and 100 pages, or try the sample.
- Select all pages or a range such as 1-3, 5. Choose automatic or original reading order.
- Extract, review page warnings, edit the text and copy or download your current content.
A practical example
Extract pages 2–4 from a report as editable text. Page markers keep the source page numbers. If page 3 has no extractable text, the result identifies the missing page instead of claiming a complete conversion.
Frequently asked questions
Can I extract text from a scanned PDF?
Not in this version. Pages without extractable text are flagged and may need OCR. Blank pages and unsupported text encoding can also produce no text.
Does my PDF leave my device?
No. PDF parsing and preview use locally hosted PDF.js files. Document bytes are not uploaded to a conversion service.
Are tables and columns preserved?
Layout is reconstructed conservatively. Columns, tables, rotated text and unusual fonts may need manual correction. Compare the source and try Original PDF order.
Can I edit and copy the extracted text?
Yes. Copy and download use the current edited output. Changes to extraction settings invalidate the old download and require extraction again.
