Download resultKeep the sound from your video
Make an audio copy of a lecture, interview or phone recording. A verified FFmpeg decoder downloads on demand and runs locally in an isolated Worker.
How to use this tool
- Choose one video up to 100 MiB. Supported containers include MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV; codec support depends on the decoder.
- Choose MP3 at 128/192/256 kbps or 48 kHz PCM WAV, mono or stereo, and a start/end range up to 5 minutes within the first hour.
- Extract, play the actual exported audio and download. Cancel terminates processing; setting changes revoke the old result.
A practical example
Extract minutes 2–5 of an interview as stereo MP3 at 192 kbps, then listen before sharing.
Frequently asked questions
Is the audio copied losslessly?
No. The first audio track is decoded and re-encoded as MP3 or 16-bit WAV at 48 kHz. Stereo/mono conversion applies; original metadata is not retained.
What are the limits?
100 MiB input, a requested range up to 5 minutes within the first hour, and 60 MiB output. End can be blank to export up to 5 minutes or the end of the available audio. If audio ends earlier than the range, only available samples are exported.
Why is a download needed?
The pinned ~31 MiB FFmpeg WASM is verified with SHA-256 and downloaded from a primary or backup CDN. Your video is not uploaded. Network failure can be retried.
What if the video has no sound?
Files with no audio track, unsupported codecs or damaged content fail with an explicit message. This does not remove vocals, transcribe speech or extract subtitles.
